Jason Alexander’s Weird New Hair Explained.

Seinfeld star Jason Alexander is known for being bald, so it was kind of a surprise to see him step out recently with hair…lots of hair! Apparently a lot of fans were (understandably) confused by Jason’s new ‘do, so he took to Twitter to explain what’s going on up there.
What you see on my head is a really good, semi-permanent hairpiece,” he revealed in a lengthy testimonial to fans. “So yes, I’m still bald and yes, just like others in my profession who have to either wear make-up or dye their hair or undergo surgery, I now do a little something. It’s honestly no big deal for me and hope it’s not for you either.”
So there you go. But why did Jason — who’s been bald for a long, long time — decide that now is the right time to start wearing a fancy toupee? This is all eerily reminiscent of that episode of Seinfeld where George (Jason) got a toupee and Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) ripped it off his head and threw out the window, isn’t it?
The way my hair has receded in the last two years was best defined as ‘dorky’… recently, the look lost any kind of impression other than purely comical,” Alexander says. “Also, there was a practical element — onstage and even to a degree on film, my head had become a big beacon, reflecting light in a very obvious and distracting way.
