Britney Spears is coming under fire for shooting her “Criminal” music video – in which she brandishes a gun – in London after the city’s recent riots.
In photos and footage that surfaced this week, Spears and Jason Trawick are seen filming a segment that depicts a robbery.
The shoot was done in the Hackney borough, which was damaged during the anti-government rioting that spread through London and other British cities over the summer.
Politicians in the area are now asking the Spears production to apologize for “promoting gun violence,” especially after the local council reportedly “did not agree that a replica gun” could be used for the video.
I think she should apologize and make a sizable donation to a Hackney charity that deals with young people… for the rudeness and damage she’s done to this community,” said one council member.
