NBC Cancels “Free Agents”

Another one bites The Big One…The NBC comedy Free Agents just became the second fall freshman series to join the newly-axed Playboy Club in the Graveyard of Small Screen Stinkers Past.
Free Agents was an American remake of the British black comedy, which premiered across the pond in 2007. Suits at The Peacock brought down the gauntlet on the show, starring Hank Azaria and Kathryn Hahn, after Wednesday’s third episode attracted just 3.3 million viewers in its 8:30PM timeslot. By comparison, its lead-in, the Maya Rudolph-assisted Up All Night, scored 5.7 million and was picked up for a full season Tuesday. On the show, Azaria and Hahn starred as co-workers who explore a relationship together after he gets a divorce and her fiance dies.
