Leonard Nimoy Retire From Star Trek Conventions.

Nimoy is best known for playing Mr. Spock in the original Star Trek TV series, which premiered in Sept. 1966. But the 80-year-old star says a weekend convention in suburban Chicago celebrating the 45th anniversary of the show will likely be his last.This isn’t the first foray with retirement for television’s Mr. Spock. In April 2010, Leonard hung up his acting shoes after a lengthy stint on the FOX hit Fringe.
