Comeback Kid Demi Lovato will sing the US national anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner,” at Game 5 of World Series on Monday. One day after Zooey Deschanel belts it out on the diamond at the start of Game 4.

Demi Lovato to Sing National Anthem at World Series.
Demi Lovato announced on Friday that she’ll perform the national anthem before Game Five on Monday.
Lovato, a native Texan and an avid Rangers fan, didn’t forget her humility when revealing the exciting news.
She tweeted today, “Only my lovatics could land me a spot singing the national anthem at the WORLD SERIES!!!! I couldn’t do it without you guys!!!!”
Following “American Idol” winner Scotty McCreery‘s less than perfect performance before Game One, Lovato is sure to be a hit.
In terms of actual baseball, by the way, the World Series is currently tied at one game apiece between the Rangers and the St. Louis Cardinals.
