Britney Spears’ Photos Used to Teach Kids About Airbrushing.

Britney Spears is part of a campaign that helps teach UK kids the celebrities they often think are flawless really aren’t — they’re just digitally altered to perfection.
The pop diva’s original and retouched photos will be shown to 10 and 11-year-olds to combat the negative body issues they may have. The children will also see other airbrushed images that show “a degree of perfection which is unattainable in society.”
This isn’t the first time Spears has used photos of herself to show how airbrushing removes normal imperfections — she did the same last year as well. (Props to her for being so brave. Most celebs would sacrifice a digit before they’d let their raw photos see the light of day.)
The new project, called Media Smart, uses a series of popular posters and magazine ads, and then shows how they’ve been altered to achieve the end result. The images are distributed with a set of notes for teachers to explain how the media influences young people’s perceptions of body image.
Equalities minister Lynne Featherstone said, “I want children to recognize their value is much more than physical appearance.
