Casey Anthony Ordered To Pay Back Nearly $100,000 for Caylee Search

Casey Anthony was ordered by a Florida judge to pay nearly $100,000 to reimburse the police and others who searched for her daughter Caylee for five months back in 2008.

While Anthony was acquitted of Caylee’s murder, she was found guilty of providing false information to the police.

Initially, Anthony told the police her daughter was kidnapped by her babysitter, which set off the search for the missing girl, but as soon as Anthony’s trial began, the defense claimed Caylee had drowned in a pool, and admitted she had lied about the kidnapping.

Judge Belvin Perry has now ruled that Anthony must repay $97,676.98 for the expenses incurred.
