McCartney Wedding This Weekend? Sir Paul & Nancy Shevell To Marry In London On Sunday

Wedding bells are ringing in London as Sir Paul McCartney prepares to marry his girlfriend Nancy Shevell, an American businesswoman, in the British city on Sunday, The former Beatle is expected to tie the knot at London’s Westminster Register Office, where he also married his first wife Linda Eastman in 1969. She died of breast cancer in 1998. His second marriage to Heather Mills ended in 2006. Their bitter divorce was finalized in 2008. His third wedding will be a small affair with just 30 guests.


Shevell sits on the board of New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority. She was previously married for more than 20 years to lawyer Bruce Blakeman. She is also an executive at a New Jersey-based trucking company owned by her father.


The couple began dating after meeting in the ritzy Hamptons four years ago. Sir Paul, 69, announced his engagement to the heiress earlier this year.


A spokesman for the couple said he could not comment on the date of the wedding.
